Our
Story
How it all Began
In the spring of 2024, one parent was looking at enrolling her son into grade one the coming year and wished there was another option other thatn homeschooling herself. After researching she came the conclusion that Athabasca needed an option for Education that was not offered at the time. One parent became 2, and then 3. By the summer we had 4 families who partnered together to form what is now Kingdom Christian Academy. 7 became 9, and 9 became 14 by the 2025 school year.
Our first year was a year of learning and developing and we were pleasently surprised with the outcome of our first year.
UNIFORMS
School uniforms are considered good because they foster a sense of equality and unity, reduce bullying and distractions related to clothing, enhance safety by making students identifiable, simplify mornings for parents and students, and instill discipline and respect for rules that can prepare students for professional environments. By removing distractions related to fashion, uniforms help students concentrate on their primary task: learning. A uniform can set a more serious tone for learning, leading to better behavior and discipline in the classroom.

Kingdom Christian Academy has chosen to go with school uniforms for classroom learning. Although our uniforms are not a select clothing type, we hace chosen to go with a colour scheme as well as a formal style. Students can choose what clothing items they want to have as their uniforms but here are some of the standards.
All students receive a t-shirt and a hoodie, with their name on it, for thier school year. Each student is encouraged to be apart of building their classroom atmosphere and contribute to every part of their learning environment. All volunteers and staff are also asked to follow this dress code as well.

Stephan, Age 13
“This is a very a friendly and Godly environment.”
Isabella, Age 14
“I like being with kids that are different ages. Sometimes I can help younger kids with their work.I feel more accountable for my work because people see me. If I don’t do my work, I am the one who feels it. Eventually, I have to get it done. I feel less comparison here and I really like working at my own pace. I really like that there are incentives that make me want to get my work done”
Benjamin, Age 17
“I like the accountability, I’ve never felt more successful in school. When I Don’t do my work it effects me and when I do really well, I am very encouraged. Oh, And I get merits!”
